If you are lucky enough to have a sun porch or cozy breakfast nook in your home to enjoy, the best way to outfit the area is with indoor patio furniture. While it might sound like an oxymoron, there are patio furniture choices made for indoors. Breakfast nooks are usually small areas that work wonderfully with bistro sets. A bistro is traditionally a small cafe or establishment that sells food and wine, popular in Europe. You can easily fit a small iron, aluminum, wood or wicker bistro set for two or even four in your breakfast nook for comfort and convenience.

The traditional look for bistro furniture is a small round wrought iron table and two chairs, although some furniture makers may construct pieces that only look like wrought iron without the heavy weight or high price. You might also want a chaise lounge in the area if it is good for reading in the sun. Speaking of the sun, a sun porch is a screened in area that may also have glass enclosures for bad weather. You get the bright warmth of the sun while staying indoors, a perfect place for indoor furniture.

Sun porches look fabulous with wicker furniture. While you can choose wicker resin, which is a durable type of wicker-look outdoor patio furniture, you could also go for traditional wicker because it will be kept indoors. Although, the resin wicker is far more resistant to fading from the sun's rays so this would be the way to go. Many people adorn their indoor sun porch with a wide assortment of plants and flowers to make it a botanical haven in which to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee or a moment of quiet meditation. Not to mention the presence of plants and flowers helps to purify the air.

As you can see, there are more uses for indoor patio furniture than you might think. If you live in a small home or apartment, this type of furniture could be perfect for your regular everyday dining area. Usually a patio table and chairs will be smaller on average as compared with a traditional kitchen table and chairs set. The patio furniture you select will depend on various factors like your personal preferences, price range, where you will put the furniture and more. There is no rule that says you cannot bring patio furniture inside, so if it fits your lifestyle go ahead and do it!
